Prior to undertaking the Repair of Crankshaft following sequence of inspection is conducted by our senior and experienced technicians. Our technicians are trained in engine manufacturers facilities and also in house training school.

·         Dimensional inspection of crankpin and main journal of crankshaft for taper and ovality.
·         Measurement of radius filled and bearing width.
·         Crack detection of crankpin and major journal by ultrasound and magnetic particle test (MPI).
·         Inspection of hardness.
·         Checking of run-out and deflection in case possible.
·         Visual inspection.

Once the inspection of crankshaft is done, the repair is executed onsite without removing the crankshaft from the engine block.

In order to save the crankshaft from rejection and to ensure continuous running, we donot always  follow the manufacturer’s tolerances , there are number of crankshafts which have been repaired by us and have been accepted under deviation for higher hardness, presence of surface crack etc,
